Had 3 hours coaching and training with Abdul last night at Dulwich Table Tennis Club. Videod the whole session. Fantastic multi ball practice, just wish I had this opportunity 30 years ago. and chang li vcd are very good value.
I dont speak  Chinese, but the value of the cds is seeing perfect technique, repeated in different situations

I asked Desmond once, what he thought about when he was playing. Didnt get the answer I was expecting.

I would say to them, what was the best tip anyone has ever given you, that changed your game for the better? What do you think is important in a game? I would video them for the full hour, so I can re live the experience. I would also get them to demonstrate every shot they make and explain what they are trying to achieve from that shot. I videoed a very good player, coaching once, and learnt so much just watching him coach others. For me there would be only one choice:
Chuang Tse Tung, (Zhuang de dong today) a table an interpreter, a ball feeder, and me. I would ask him to repeat a lecture I have watched on CD where he stands and harangues his audience on proper technique demonstrating good and bad technique while demolishing returns from an invisible receiver. I found it mesmerising. Apart from anything else his passion for the game is wonderful

IMHO I cant see any point in getting tips or pointers that are probaby well known or are way above my level. Personally the chance to get an hour on the table hitting balls and playing a few games would be much more satisfying. An hour with Waldner or Ma Lin would dor for me!
