Anyone entered in the US Open this year from the forum? It is in Michigan this year. I am looking forward to playing in 3 events including  the 50 and over open event, and playing one of the best players in the world. I would think that being a very low seed, I would get to play one of the highest seeded players in the single elimination. I expect I will be up against bye's in the early rounds but am hopeful for a top player across from me in the event. I will have my camera with me for sure, to have footage of being spanked by one of the best in the world. LOL

What a shame I am not visiting the relatives this year. I would have only been a 20 to 30 min drive away.
It would have been fun to go see.

Sorry forgot to say, best of luck.

Good tourney, lotsofbig names there. We had 26 players that call our club their home club, and a U4200 doubles team from our club won!!! Congrats to Mark & Brian. I did alright, making it to the Semis in U1000 loosing 11-9 in 5th to a cheating duo of coach and player, who was defaulted after the match and not allowed to advance. L ost to the #1 seed in my U1200 group 11-9 in 5th game As well. I advanced twice  to the round of 8ths in over 50 open event before defaulting myself to get back to an emergency family situation on the last day of the Open. Never expected to get that far. After another tournament the following weekend, I came out with a U1000 1st place, U1250 2nd place and a 1st place in the U1650 event which finally brought my USATT rating up to level where I feel I am competing at 1185.  Now I am facing a long lay off. Hey Timo, Sounds like you're hitting your stride!  I think you mentioned it before but why the layoff?  Hope your family situation works out ok.
